An immature, but good intentioned actor and his unconventional family gets banned to the environmental wasteland by his megalomaniac father.

Synopsis

Set in the not too distant future, a woman is chased down dark streets by the police. She escapes and burns her identity Juicy Sturns at a gas station revealing that she is actually a man- Justin. Back at home, four people, Justin, a charismatic, sexy actor hits the snooze button. Joe, an overweight, impotent, out of work software programmer, Margaret, an earthy schoolteacher who desperately wants a child and Karen, a dynamic immigration attorney who pays most of the bills, live together in an alternative relationship have breakfast and are ready to celebrate their 3rd anniversary. Sonia, their kindhearted, hardworking maid, arrives and everyone goes to work, well the one’s that are employed.

While celebrating their anniversary at a trendy restaurant, Justin becomes upset. In the bathroom, a man tries to talk to Justin, but Justin is too upset and leaves, but before he exits a young woman comes up to Justin and warns him that he's in danger. 
Back at home, their fortunes start to shift. joe gets a job and Margaret is pregnant, but all this fades away as the government enters the picture. Sonia’s true identity is revealed as Lieutenant Janet Pinkerton, a government agent for the Bureau of Human Understanding. She’s investigating whether this foursome is a threat to the moral fabric of society. She declares, “You are under house arrest until I can finish analyzing my data, delve into my subconscious and file my full report.” Everyone panics, Sonia, now Janet, becomes their prisoner by a surprisingly resourceful Justin.

Enter, Cadman Ruckus, the head of the Bureau of Human Understanding, a calculating, ruthless and sexy man who happens to be Justin’s father. He tells Janet to change, “You look awful” and tries to seduce Justin into joining him at The Bureau. “You can utilize your acting chops and considerable physical acumen, thanks to me, and gain the fame you so desperately desire as we fight together to keep our great society safe and secure.” Justin refuses. “That didn’t work out too well with my sister did it?” Cadman takes out his cell phone and pushes a button, “That’s too bad. I’m afraid your now doomed into exile. I’d take you into custody, but we’re all booked up. I’ve just declared you terrorists of the state. Your pictures are on the internet’s most wanted. You want to see?” Sonia reenters as Janet, a made-up gorgeous woman and asks for Karen’s high heeled shoes. “You won’t need them where you’re going.”

Defeated, they run to Pennsylvania, a state that has been declared an environmental wasteland, where they land on the doorstep of Yola, a smart, earthy woman with control issues and Justin’s mother. Welcomed into this alternative community where there are no guns, no locks and no boundaries, all four try to come to terms with their new home as well as their commitment to each other. Should they stay or should they go?

They decide to try and escape to Mexico, but that plan is defeated when they sink in the river. On the eve of their ritualized harvest, Margaret goes into labor and a beautiful baby is born. As Justin falls in love with his newborn son, Cadman arrives with baby gifts greeting his ex Yola, “God you look old.” He asks Justin one last time to join him as his partner. He refuses. Cadman informs his security detail to take the newborn child. Justin attacks his father and a rousing fight ensues. As Justin is about to get killed, Yola screams out, “How do you know he’s even your son?”

A bruised Cadman turns on Yola with a new depth of rage and kisses her passionately. ,He takes the child out of Karen’s arms renaming him Zeus, “If you won’t join me, then my grandson will.” The military police keep everyone at bay as Janet grabs Karen’s high heel shoes. Justin must choose. Justin and Karen scream out simultaneously, "I'll come." No times for goodbyes as they leave Ravina and Cadman asks Janet, “Do you have a light?” Suddenly, a huge explosion ignites.
Back in the city, Justin and Margaret undergo reparative therapy as he’s groomed to become Cadman’s successor.

One year later, a man heads out of town dressed as a cleaner. He winds up at deserted Ravina. it’s Justin. He goes back to a small village to try and find his family. When he does, Yola pulls a gun on her own son unsure if he’s turned or not. Justin convinces them to join him on his plan to unseat Cadman from power.
Dressed up as cleaners, they head back to The Bureau headquarters. They hack into the system’s files revealing a video of the president in red rubber hanging upside down and decides to copy all the files before they erase them. He notices his father’s file and finds every news clippings of his acting career. He opens his father’s medical file and discovers that his father is dying.

As they get ready to clear out, Janet Pinkerton confronts them. Karen and Janet have a kickboxing moment to the death. Karen wins reclaiming her shoes that Janet pinched earlier.
In the elevator and inches from safety, the doors open and they are greeted by Cadmus. Justin and Cadmus fight, but Justin refuses to hurt his father. Cadman is weaker and finally falls down exhausted. “Take over my files, the world is yours, they’ll do anything I say. Don’t you want to be the most powerful man in the world?” Justin responds, “No not really.”

Images of his corrupt father and his disdain for humanity is broadcast over the internet. Juicy Sturns encourages everyone their is nothing to be afraid of and Cadman’s power has been destroyed. Cadman finally accepts his son for who he is and Justin finally gets to be a good father and son.
